INDICATION
ZR dental zirconia is a zirconia – based dental material designed for the
production of fixed dentures, i.e. especially for single crowns, fully anatomic
crowns and/or bridges consisting of up to14* units. In the posterior tooth
area, the interval between pillars may not amount to more than two
pontics. Cantilever pontics are
permissible.
TERMINAL SINTERING
With the terminal sintering to fully density, the milled work piece (framework) attains its defi nite properties. During the process it shrinks by a precisely defi ned factor. This requires the following procedure to be strictly complied with. The terminal sintering is carried out in a sintering furnace approved for the sintering of pre-sintered zirconia work pieces.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
>Wall
thickness: For Full- Ceramics dentures, the wall thickness of the crown should
not fall short of 0.5 mm in terminally sintered condition.
>The
geometry of the connectors is of utmost importance for the cracking resistance
of zirconia frameworks. Therefore, the crosssection of the connectors must be
as large as possible. For bridges it should not be less than 9mm2.
>In the
posterior tooth area, up to 2 pontics are permissible between two pillars.
>For
avoidance of what is known as “chipping”, the crowns and bridges should
correspond, in smaller scale, to the tooth to be replaced, so that the ceramics
veneer can be provided with uniform strength.
>The
framework is to be designed so that the vectors of the masticatory forces are not
located in the marginal portions of the chewing surface.
>For the
manufacture of dentures from JRR dental Zirconia, only such
machines, equipment, devices and tools may be used which are approved for the
processing of pre-sintered zirconia blanks. During processing, neither coolant
nor compressed air may be used.
>Please
note the instructions in the operating manual of your milling system.
>Prior to
further processing of the milled work pieces, they are to be tested for the
following defects:
-Shiny areas
on the surface
-Discolouration
-Breaking out
of portions of material
-Cracks
>If any of
the defects listed is found on any of the milled workieces (frameworks), no
work pieces manufactured from the same blank may be processed further.
>For the
colouring of the frameworks, all commercially available liquid dyes can be used
according to instructions of the respective manufacturers.
